Unfortunately my chain broke after three years of daily use in all kinds of weather, so I have absolutely no problems with the quality or longevity of the chain itself, I clipped on a quick link just to get me home, then immediately ordered a replacement chain. It arrived quickly and ready to install with no fuss. I would only use official replacement parts, the quality is just too good.
