Yes. The HITWAY BK-T2 is configured for UK road-legal pedal-assisted riding, with a 250W motor and a maximum assisted speed of 15.5 mph / 25 km/h. It is CE-certified and designed as a pedelec for everyday road use.
The 6 km/h walk assist is limited to low-speed pushing support and cannot be unlocked to remove the speed limit. The BK-T2 also offers 0–5 pedal assist levels:
PAS 0: No motor assistance
PAS 1: 3.7 mph / 6 km/h
PAS 2: 6.2 mph / 10 km/h
PAS 3: 9.3 mph / 15 km/h
PAS 4: 12.4 mph / 20 km/h
PAS 5: 15.5 mph / 25 km/h
The BK-T2 offers an assisted range of up to 81–99 miles / 130–160 km under favourable riding conditions. Real-world range can vary depending on rider weight, cargo load, temperature, road conditions, tyre pressure and the selected pedal assist level.
As a reference, with a 75 kg rider at around 25°C, the bike can reach up to approximately 81 miles / 130 km in pedal assist mode. Carrying heavier loads, riding in colder weather or using higher assist levels will reduce the range.
Yes. The BK-T2 includes a free rear child safety kit with rear seat pads, a handrail and a protective safety guard. This kit is included as a free gift with the bike.
Please note that the the protective safety guard is shipped separately from the bike, so it may arrive in a different parcel or on a different day. This is normal and does not mean anything is missing from your order.
The BK-T2 arrives approximately 85% assembled. Main components are pre-installed, but some parts still need to be fitted before your first ride.
The front basket and rear child safety kit need to be assembled by the customer. Before riding, please check that all bolts are tightened, the brakes work correctly, the tyres are properly inflated and the battery is securely locked in place.
